Get moving and start making an adventure list!
Living a healthy and active lifestyle is very important to me for so many reasons. I love to eat well, and I enjoy exercising and always endeavour to try out new ways to keep super fit!
One thing that I enjoy the most is getting out and being active in nature. Last July I went on a trip to 1770 and had a fantastic time exploring the local area – it was amazing and I loved every minute I spent bush walking and enjoying the ocean. At that time I sat down and wrote out a list of places and activities that I wanted to start to do as part of an adventure list – but unfortunately on my arrival home from the trip and heading back to work, my adventure list got put to the side and gathered cob webs.
This year in 2016 I want to make this different. I made some personal changes in my life so that I can incorporate fulfilling my adventure list – with all I have experienced through the death of my husband and my daughter four years ago, I know that life is too short to not make our dreams and goals a reality.
One of my goals this year is to get moving and start making my adventure list happen – each month I am going to do something from my list and slowly through the year I will get to experience some amazing places, do fun things, conquer a few fears (like riding a horse), spend time with people I love – plus at the same time fit some exercise in doing these activities along the way! How good is that!
Yesterday was my very first Shelley Myatt adventure – a road trip with my daughter and a friend to Queen Mary Falls, it was a fantastic day, and our day was jam packed with so much activity.
Our day was filled with:
But most of all we had fun living life and enjoying each moment that presented itself to us throughout the day.
I share this with you for several reasons
It’s fun to change your routine, step out of your comfort zone and try new things - you just never know what you might find out about yourself and might even discover some new hidden passions.
I encourage you next week to get out and enjoy the outdoors while this weather is so beautiful and before the cool of seasonal change drives us indoors.
Do what you love – love what you do!
