The giant fridge door opened to this amazing quirky space and suddenly I knew I had a new home for my dream.
6 months ago I left my job at Usq Works gym to follow my dream to have my own business and studio.
I thought I had found the perfect spot in Russell St to set up in. But over the past 5 months I have hit road block after road block with finalising the venue - making the dream almost feel unattainable.
There was even a moment when I questioned whether to continue working towards my passion and that maybe it was time to let go (not me at all but it has been a long few years )...
In this moment I realised that my hope for Shelley Myatt Fitness and Well-being is the one thing in the last four years that has finally given me hope for my future happiness. That I was not to give up but to refocus and reshape my vision and find a new way forward.
I am especially grateful to a few good mates who have been there for me over the last few weeks and have encouraged me to let go of what was not working and to look in a new direction.
Last week I looked at this spot in Brook St at the Old Butter Factory. The giant fridge door opened to this amazing quirky space and suddenly I knew I had a new home for my dream.
So starting this Monday Shelley Myatt Fitness and Well-being will be based at The Fridge and I will be officially open for business.
Finally I can start to put into reality what has been in my heart and head for so long.
So stayed tuned and watch this space.
There is much to come.
Never give up and make your dreams happen.
These are a few pictures taken over the last week, there is still much work to be done to get ready for the launch - but the studio is starting to take shape. A warm welcoming space to build a community and to help people achieve their goals
