Four super fun outdoor activities to get in shape for Summer
Now that spring is here and we've said goodbye to the cold winter, we can finally leave the winter blues behind and get ready to embrace the outdoors again with friends and family.
Most of us spend a lot of time indoors throughout the winter months and, by the time September arrives, we are more than ready to get active.
I often cannot wait to head outside and embrace all that our wonderful Australian outdoors has to offer. There are so many activities we can do outside that are immensely social and fun, ranging from picnics and cricket games in the park to volleyball at the beach on holiday. I believe that any activity that involves movement is exercise.
Sometimes we don't even realise we are getting fit while we do it, as we are having way too much fun to think of it as a workout. I can almost hear you saying that this is your kind of exercise and I want you to be thinking that this spring and summer should be the time to be active, to start moving, but most of all to be celebrating and enjoying life.
For all of us, it will mean different things. Personally I love to train in the gym but, when the summertime comes, I head to the beach and go running as I love the water and the calm I feel as I run near it.
I would like to look at four super fun outdoor activities that will build you fitness on many different levels and will help you get in shape for the summer months ahead:
So let's start thinking about heading outside for some fun and fitness and let's even think about stepping out of our box and trying something new to kick off spring.
This is the perfect time to feel motivated and to live life to the fullest!
